The IAEA routinely organizes regional and interregional training courses in cooperation with its Member States. Training courses last from one to two weeks and are offered in different fields related to the peaceful uses and applications of nuclear science and technology.
In support of this mission, IAEA Programs at Argonne co-organizes and hosts a selection of instructional IAEA events each year. Since 1976, over 291 joint US–IAEA training courses have been organized by and conducted at Argonne, with over 6,390 individuals from 159+ countries participating.
Get Involved
IAEA application forms for training course participation must be submitted to the Agency through official governmental channels. Priority is given to requests associated with established projects of direct benefit to IAEA Member States.
The success of the IAEA–Argonne Training Course Program is only possible with the cooperation of domestic experts willing to share information and experience related to peaceful uses of nuclear technology. Interested U.S. experts may wish to subscribe to the alerts distributed by IAEA Programs at Argonne.
